Incredible pictures. That's one of the teas from them that I've really loved, there's so much depth. Love the pot as well, where did you get it?

Some tea given to me by a non-tea drinker it was gifted to, a medium aged lower grade white affair.

After very slowly chipping away at the cake over time, I finally decided to throw it out because it feels off in the stomach.

I never enjoy throwing tea away, but I have come to suspect that the wrapper some tea comes in cost more than what is inside.

Perceived quality seems inversely correlated to the size of gold lettering.

Thank you for your kind words, I picked this teapot up from Artistic Nippon, it's a 265ml Fugetsu, and it was very reasonably priced for such a well-made teapot, I use it primarily for my Oolongs but it also works well for the white / purple teas as well. I have come to really appreciate this offering over at YS, I feel it is one of their Gems, most people I that I know that has tried it all have nice things to say about it.

Enjoyed a final session with white tea from Jirisan, Korea, by Oh Yeong Soon via Morning Crane's Tea Buy Korea 2021. It's been sitting in the cabinet for a long time, and retained delicate floral and fruity notes, really wonderful, and lasting through 4 or 5 infusions. So nice.

"gently steamed with butter"

You did not write steamed w/ butter but gently steamed. Sounds nicer but :) :?: :?: really any different?

Your well-written & photographed posts are always a pleasure to see.

Unfortunately, I waited too long to get the white tea set from Daxue Jiadao and it's now out of stock. Has anyone had the Baihao Yinzhen Wuyangshan 2020? Is it worth the price? How does it compare with the Baihao Yinzhen Chaitoushan Huangye 2023, which I'm also thinking about buying? I should make up my mind while these teas are still available!
