Hi everyone,
We are excited to introduce
Teas We Like !
We are a group of tea friends who met on message boards like this one and we wanted to open up our group buys to a larger audience. We aim to curate and collaborate with fellow enthusiasts in the tea community to offer teas that are not easily accessible. We've been working directly with producers, private collectors and guest curators to assemble a small number of teas that we feel are exceptional in terms of quality and price.
Our opening lineup includes two tasting sets and a star production of Biyun Hao, 2003 Hong Kong Henry Trading Co. “Conscientious Formula” 7542, a private commissioned 2001 Zhongcha Huangyin, and a Yiwu tea (Naked Yiwu 001) produced between the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. All of these are sheng/raw puerh, and eventually we may offer examples of other types of tea.
Please contact us if you have any questions or suggestions.

Thanks to our partners, co-curators and tasters for helping us make this project possible!

I've tried a few of the teas in your lineup. You guys have great taste
I can personally recommend the Naked Yiwu and 2001 Zhongcha Huangyin. And of course the Serious/Conscientious Formula needs no introduction.
Welcome!

Congratulations on your launch and welcome to TeaForum. Every tea Phyll Sheng has shared with me and the Los Angeles Int Tea Club has been AAA excellent. I am really looking forward to tasting Conscientious Prescription and Naked Yiwu via Atla’s group buy. The wrapping on Biyun Hao 2012 Mahei is great graphically, worthy of being framed. Maybe next order
@Atlas we can share a cake and I can save the wrapper

Looking good!
By the way, it would be helpful to include on your About Me page where you are shipping from. (From the in-basket shipping cost, I am assuming the US, but it doesn't say that anywhere else).

Hi
@VoirenTea !
Thanks for your suggestion. To answer your question, all our teas ship from Taiwan, with the exception of the Malaysian stored 7532, which ships from the USA. Orders including the Malaysian stored 7532 and other teas will be shipped in two shipments, but this will not affect the shipping cost for you. We hope you enjoy our offerings!

We have added a new cake on the site! A Malaysia stored 2003 7532 zhongcha, obtained from a private collector in Malaysia who has held it since January of 2004 for personal consumption

Yes, a few of us here in LA tried it with Phyll Sheng, it is excellent, so we just ordered a cake. I don’t have tasting notes (as we were enjoying the tea too much
) but from what I remember the description at TWL is very good; “ thick and concentrated; the camphor and tea incense are vivid and elegant. The tea is warming, relaxing and invigorating. Its aftertaste lingers on — sweet, camphoraceous and floral.”

New teas are up on Teas We Like!
We are offering the
2015 BYH Lishan Gongcha - probably the most promising young tea we have encoutered in a long time. It is a blend of manzhuan and Yiwu material perfected over several years by Mr Chen.
https://teaswelike.com/product/2015-biy ... n-gongcha/
We also listed the
2013 Xiaguan Love Forever cake (the better version, that comes in a
paper tong), it is made mostly from older material, so it's already pleasant to drink now. This cake supposedly contains some banzhang, it has a nice "oomph".

Finally, the
Naked Yiwu 2001 is back in stock!

We hope you enjoy the teas!!

Teas We Like
An Announcement of New Tea Offerings
新年快樂! Happy Chinese New Year from all of us at teaswelike.com: wishing everyone a prosperous and tea-filled new year, and a big thank you to all in the tea community and our guest curators who help to make TWL possible.
We are excited to announce our first new releases of the year, as well as a restock of two old favorites: the “Naked Yiwu” and the 2003 Zhongcha 7532. New sheng cakes for 2019 include two excellent daily drinkers: 2008 8582-801 from Menghai Tea Factory, and a 2004 7542 Zhongcha featuring an elegant blend of sweetness and smoke.
For lovers of boutique-style cakes, we have a fantastic and eminently affordable 2013 Mahei-region cake from Taiwanese producer Bi Yun Hao as well as the Chen Yuan Hao Shanzhong Quanqi production from 2005.
Finally, for fans of Hong Kong-style pu’er, we are proud to offer an official Menghai Tea Factory 7432 cake from 2001. The storage of this cake, while demonstrably “Hong Kong” in provenance, has been exceptionally clean and light, resulting in a tea that combines the smoothness and richness of HK storage with the strength and tannic structure of a quality dry-stored sheng: an ideal introduction for the dry-stored drinker into the world of HK storage!
Thank you!
